"And David said, " O LORD, please turn the counsel of Ahithopel into foolishness." While David was coming to the summit where God was worshipped, behold Hushai the Archite came to meet him..." (2 Samuel15:31-32)
There is Power in Prayer when combined with Praise. David was at one of the lowest points in his life. Having been forced from his throne, David is literally running for his life! Upon his ascent up the Mt. of Olives east of Jerusalem, David had a specific prayer for the counsel of his son to be thwarted. As soon has David came to the "Place of Praise" he received his answer. David had the wisdom to see God's answer and to give direction concerning it. O the power of power in connection with the place of praise! May we pray specifically, pray worshipfully, and have the wisdom to see God's answer and respond accordingly!

Thank you, Abel for this encouraging posting. Truly, I personally have seen prayer answered speedily by our Lord. The Lord wants us to turn to Him, in the small things, and in the big things. God's ear is anxiously awaiting the petitions of His people. Praise God.
