"So it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the serpent he lived" (Num 21:9)Israel was in snake country and they were getting bit. Instead of getting rid of the snakes, God gave them an object of faith (a bronze serpent), to look at to live. God could have driven out the snakes, but instead He gave them the opportunity to exercise faith. We have hardships too, many of which we have brought on ourselves through stupid decisions, but good news, "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:14-15).

I really enjoyed this reading the other day!
WHen I read it I skipped passed it thinking uh... just another weird thing they did... but i thought..wait God's word...there was a purpose... what was it? And so I searched the bible for answers!

12:32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.
Just pretty Cool when you put it all together! Every word of God is Proven True, Faithful, trustworthy, its powerful, Sharper than any two edged sword, and gives life to all who believe! I love the word of my God!
